JULIE
Julie and I met in 1972 on a blind date. When she died on May 5, 2020, we had been married for just over 48 years. Each year at New Year’s and on her birthday we quietly toasted each other with, “We got through another one.” I still miss her – and always will.
My Funny Valentine
Julie was a huge jazz fan, and one of her favorite musicians was the saxophonist Gerry Mulligan. He recorded My Funny Valentine several times with Chet Baker on trumpet in tribute to his wife. This slideshow is my tribute to Julie.
EBook
Over the year after she died, I created this book about Julie as an expression of my love and my gratitude for her. Also included are three videos in association with the Won Buddhist temple where we both practiced.
